Professor Stefan Böschen researches within his professorship Technology and Society at the interface of social-scientific knowledge research and natural/engineering science.

The research focuses on understanding and shaping transdisciplinary rooms for innovation. It ranges from co-productive processes in research and entrepreneurial innovation to living labs and form of social innovation. Professor Böschen conducted research in different thematic fields, including chemistry, climatology, sustainability, digitalization, and has a long-term expertise in inter- and transdisciplinary research and innovation processes, as well as in scientific political counseling.
