Applied Subject Philosophy in Computer Science

 

In the study of philosophy one acquires key qualifications for later (professional) life, for example text interpretation, analytical thinking, the ability to recognize complex interrelationships, the ability to criticize ideologies and general ability to reflect.

The application subject Philosophy for Computer Science includes:

  • Lecture Philosophical Propaedeutics 1 (winter semester, exam, 5 ECTS)
  • Lecture Philosophical Propaedeutics 2 (summer semester, written exam, 5 ECTS)
  • Four freely selectable courses (lectures or seminars) in the fields of theoretical philosophy, ethics and applied ethics, political philosophy; this includes one graded examination (paper for 6 CP) and three certificates of attendance (2 CP each)
